I really recommend you to read the post of BBB_Hyperion below your post.

Sorry, In some ways P-38 in our sim flyes better than should in real.
So I don't take your comments serios especially with such tone.

"oleg say: we cant model 'no-torque', etc from your post".

Sorry, when you tell something about me and what I told somewhere possibly
- please be precise and make a link to the place where it is possible to confirm.
We all here know that some already tried and then always it was shown that it wasn't said by me.
Someone tried to spea for me... someone simply lieing, etc...
If you feel torgue in P-38s then I'm sorry.... But there isn't torgue when both engines works simulataniosly with the similar RPM...
And if you can't use torgue effect for a better roll rate in P-38 with low rpm on one of the engines - I'm sorry it is you problem.
I can do it...

P-47 now do better rollrate than should on low speeds...
Why? Becasue of limit of your computers, becasue we did as middle calculations for the wheol range of speeds and it was different +/- 3 to 5%!
However someone do not take such things in account and press to get the highher and highter that to get on critical speed higher than it should.....
So don't please touch me with this story....
blaI may never listen for such people as you if they use not correct way to tell me about problem or really know sometime nothing...

See the fist sentence in my post for sure onece more. The read his post.

Tja, ist schon lustig das es bei diesen Kisten dann heisst: flyes better than should in real...now do better rollrate than should on low speeds...
Zur P51 sagte Oleg vor kurzem:We give the best effience of elevator on High speed for P-51...
Nein man muss nicht whinen! Mann muss einfach nur Oleg zitieren....

What Oleg Maddox says about US-Planes:
"We give the best effience of elevator on High speed for P-51" -30.06.2004, "Cheating Stops right here"
"In some ways P-38 in our sim flyes better than should in real" - 04.10.2004 "purely pathetic, should"
"P-47 now do better rollrate than should on low speeds" - 04.10.2004 "purely pathetic, should"

Auch endgeil aus dem Quote von Oleg:

quote:
it took me 9:11 mins to reach 20,000' in the J. full fuel, default ammo, no flaps, 20 degrees nose up(#2 on climb indicator), 3000 rpm, 54" manifold pressure(max military power), radiator at 2. supposed to get to angels 20 in 7 mins. 4000 feet lower than what it should be at. the early version p-38's took about 8 mins to get to angels 20. an early version we dont have...but oleg has modeled it as if it were.
p-38-L, same as above..took 8:41 to reach angels 20. just a tad over a minute quicker. but supposedly, the J was faster than the L.
should go from 0-70 in 7.5 seconds...these sorry-azz'ed crates dont.

THIS IS ALL I NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE PERFORMANCE OF THE LOCKHEED P-38 LIGHTING.
quote:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
LTCOL Mark Hubbard, CO, 20th FG, on individual combat tactics, starting at p.80:

"1. The P-38 will out turn any enemy fighter in the air ...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If this man:Mark Hubbard, CO, 20th FGsays the P-38 could perform a certain way....then i for one belive him. and that's good enough for me.

LOL,
